Fantastic read

This again is one of James Patterson's great books. I had this book done in two days. It was diffucult to put it down, once you began to read. The togtherness shown by the family is a tribute for all families. They went through alot for so many years. Hopefully we can all learn to stay together no matter what we have to face. It is a truly inspirational story. One that everyone should read to see the strength that a family can share.

I was very dissappointed. I thought that I was buying a new book and all he did was change the name from Against medical Advice to Torn Apart. I did not think that James Patterson would so far to sell a product. I think that it should be mandatory for an author who has released a product under 1 to have to say that somewhere on the product when it is being release under a name. That the product was originally released under the first name!~!!

Modest but very well presented book

Softcover with flaps, 10" x 8", 84 pages, 55 excellent field photos, 24 catalogue photos (All in color, all well sized). Short text, 1 map, references cited. By Manuel Jordan, preface by Allen F. Roberts. Published by Fowler Museum at UCLA, Los Angeles, 2006.

This is a small and modest book, but despite its limited scope. I think that the book is worth a four star rating because the text, featured objects and field photos are all excellent. The "catalogue" masks are of 3 to 4 star quality, and are matched with detailed descriptions. In the accompanying field photos, it is really good to see so many Makishi masks being worn by the peoples of Zambia. Best of all, as of December 2012, the book can be bought new for under 20 bucks, and used for under ten bucks.

I think young girls will love this.

When I saw the tour for Star Darlings, I knew I wanted to be apart of something that promoted positive themes for young girls. I have a nine-year-old niece and knew she was going to become obsessed with this show. I loved the idea of having positive images and characters for young girls.

The Wisher’s Guide to Starland is very colorful and bright almost like the characters mentioned in the story. It is truly a guide to Starland; you get a little bit of the history of Starland, the characters, and how their world works. I loved how it explained everything from their school system to their transportation to their seasons. It was very informative and once I finished the book I can say I have a basic understanding for Starland and look forward to discussing it with my niece.

When I showed my niece the Star Darlings books her main concern was “if you lend me these, I don’t think I’ll finish them they are so long!” but in reality The Wisher’s Guide to Starland is short, quick, the pages are extremely colorful, the language is simple and is broken up in small paragraphs. You can easily read the whole book in one sitting and not realize it because that’s exactly what I did. My niece is going to love this show and I think if you have tweens they will too!

Too lame !

One of the worst books I've ever read ! A star is too much for this so called romance novel ! Terrible plot , too stupid to live heroine , selfish hero and to add insult to injury offensive comments about the Arab culture that showed clearly that the author had not done any background check before writing about the Arab world :( I am an Arab , so I do know what I am discussing ! I am very open-minded when reading novels because I do understand that to westerners the Middle East is an unknown world but I think a simple basic research would not have been too much to ask .

The effects of dominance

This is a collection of stories from students who voice their personal struggles, express their pain, and address the injustice they have encountered due to racism in today's society. Their powerful stories touch on changing physical appearances, names, and accents in order to conform to the standards set by white dominance. Once you read this book it will open your eyes to the existing glass ceilings, the unspoken inequalities, and prejudices people are faced with on a daily basis. Through Voices of Pain Voices of Hope Dr. Jerome Rabow explores issues such as superiority amongst white dominance and the ideology of increasing your own value, and position at the expense of those from your won race, and others. His writing is both informative and powerful. Jerome Rabow sheds light on the issues America has been struggling with, and acknowledges the pain of those who have encountered racism. This by far is an exceptional book many can learn and benefit from.

Rabow takes a look at institutionalized racism on one of the most premiere campuses in the United States: UCLA. Written by one of the pioneers in Interventional Bronchoscopy. This book differs from the rest of the body of literature in terms of the approach to teaching.There is a logical approach to every chapter.Carefully written chapters making the reader understand why each sonographic picture appears in the way it appears. Would have been very good if they had included 10R and 10 L lymph nodes in their chapters. But nothing to take away from the benefits of this book

fun and fast paced

Interesting, fun and fast paced. Little fan services but nothing extreme. Warning: Don't like any of the characters, there are about a million, with different values, opinions and strength. No spoilers there but are times where you question why put so much effort and it ends so quickly.
