About the Author
Danny Shaw teaches Latin American and Caribbean Studies and Race, Ethnicity, Class and Gender at the City University of New York. He holds a Masters in International Affairs from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. He is fluent in Spanish, Haitian Kreyol, Portuguese, Cape Verdean Kreolu and has a fair command of French. He has worked and organized in over forty different countries, opening his spirit to countless testimonies about the inhumanity of the international economic system. A Golden Gloves boxer, he fought twice in Madison Square Garden for the NYC heavyweight championship. He teaches boxing, yoga and nutrition. Shaw works in the national leadership of the ANSWER Coalition (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism) and the Party for Socialism and Liberation and is the managing editor of LiberationSchool.org. He is a mentor to young organizers and the father of two Life Warriors—Ernesto Rafael and Caua Amaru. A For Effort

This book is interesting. Not so much for the storyline but for the way it is written. It seems like the author had an idea for a book and wrote an outline for the story and that is what she published.

There is a decent storyline here and the potential for a really good book but it is not fleshed out.

There's not really any character development so you can't really get attached to them.

Everything kind of runs together: you'll be reading along about what is happening with Angel present day and then without warning it's a flashback and just as suddenly you're back to present day.

I know that Lauren Calhoun is a new author and as with anything, the more you practice the better you get so I'm sure that the more she writes the better her books will eventually be. However, for right now, I can only give her an A for effort. I will read the next book to see how it goes though.

Amazing MC book

This book was recommended by my review club so I bought it. I will say that this book was simply amazing. I always generally enjoy Mc reads but this one was so original and captivating. Great writing and the storyline was fabulous. Excellent book. I highly recommend.

Angel is hid from her husband with her children under her brothers protection. Sh has to stay safe for her babies and herself. She knows that if Clarke finds her....she is dead.

Demon is battling his own fights of regret when he agrees to help Angel learn how to defend herself.

Over the course of this book, there are fights, emotional battles, and new love growth.

This one is a must read.

Some may argue that the author killed his own book sales by not including tablature... but if you don't read notation, and if you really love Christian's style and want to learn it, this just might be a strong enough reason to break over and finally learn to read. This is the case with me -- I'm a so-so reader, but I'm getting much better, just working through the book. Highly recommended for your shelf, if you're a Christian fan.

EXCELLENT Poker Training

Another outstanding poker training work from Alton Hardin. He presents from soup to nuts how to play online poker. Not just a primer for the newbie but an education in how to play for even the experienced. It is easy to get caught up in the excitement of HUD's, tracking programs, etc. without knowing how to properly utilize these in game play. Opponents are using these methods against you so you need to be versed in how best to utilize the available resources. I have bought Alton's materials for the last three months and have learned more in that time period than I did the prior two years. I had my mind muddled with so many concepts that I could not just sit down and play cohesively. Alton has brought all of the elements of poker together for me making my play flow rather than have knee-jerk reactions. I am enjoying playing much more. His video series that is a companion to this book is excellent. Go to [...] for the video course - Alton does extensive live play and hand replay lessons that are invaluable to bringing together the implementation of his teachings. ALL of his video courses are just outstanding. I am VERY judicious with my time and training budget and Alton's courses and books are the BEST poker investment I have found.

We always hear play the player and not the cards. Easier to do at live tables but not online. This book is a wealth of information on playing the player online termed exploitative poker. Not only that but his book is easy to read and makes you want to read more. A fantastic book to take me to the next step. Very expensive book required for a college class. Fell apart within seven days. No chance to resell it. Save your money and buy the download.

Next Best Thing

If Jantzen's view of art history seems lifeless and distant, Henry Sayre has something to say to you. It's the best survey I've seen in terms of making art accessible and demonstrating a continuing tradition. The CD-ROM is an excellent bonus, especially for readers who have never seen an artist at work. Ever wonder how a print is made? There's a demonstration.

Poor Quality

I purchased this book new and have only used it a few times and the pages are coming loose from the bindings. Poor quality for how much you pay for the book, I would not expect it to be falling apart. So not only do I get to pay an outrageous price for the book in addition it will have no resale value for me to get some of my money back out of a book I will never again use.
