About the Author
Yves Dupont was born at Paris in 1922. While receiving his education from the College de Royan, he decided to begin prophetical studies, and correctly predicted the defeat of the French by the Nazis near the River Loire. He later published World Trends, a Catholic periodical, in the 1960s, and released Catholic Prophesy: The Coming Chastisement in 1970 through TAN. Mr. Dupont has also stated that he has sufficient material for four similar books.

a riveting compendium of prophesy through the ages

In "Catholic Prophesy", Yves Dupont has done an astounding job in compiling, interpreting, and commenting on the prophesies from the last 2000 years of Catholic tradition, and it is astonishing that they all in essence have the same meaning, and as Dupont points out, communication between large distances in time and place was rare centuries ago, "but all these prophecies say the same thing, and there are hundreds of them !" (pg. 55).
The prophecies of Jeanne le Royer (1731-1778), and Anna-Katerina Emmerick (1774-1824) are especially vivid and detailed. There is also a section about a predicted comet, and another on the quatrains of Nostradamus, which are made understandable by Dupont's analysis.
Dupont brilliantly puts together all these pieces to make a coherent whole in this small, readable volume. It is also interesting to compare these prophecies with their non-Catholic Christian kin (as in the "Left Behind" series), which are remarkably similar, but with some distinctive differences in interpretation.

Dupont's last update for this book was in 1973; I'm sure he would be amazed at how the world has progressed toward the visions he has presented in this volume. Some examples:
Dupont wonders how one man could rule Europe (the coming "Great King"), not knowing about the EU, that makes this seem quite reasonable now.
The rise of warring "Mohammedans" is a central focus of most of these prophecies. Today this sounds like the daily newscast. It states they will "march into Rome" from Albania...and in recent years the vast influx of Muslim illegal immigrants from Albania has been a huge problem for Italy.
"Turkey will break its faith with the rest of the Arab world". There is recent news of Turkey entering the EU, which would open the possibility of this.
He writes of the "triumph of communism", and though the Soviet Union has "dissolved" since this book was written, it would seem that its atheistic principles have not, and that the anti-religious aspects of communism (which is what these prophesies are concerned with) have simply morphed into the current obsession by secularists to remove God from every fragment of our lives.

"Aberrations to be found even in the church"; not only have we had the recent pederasty scandals, but a split caused by those who say "the church must be brought up to date and made meaningful to the day's problems", instead of the people rising up to the principles of the church (the last quote comes from St. Anthony's 4th Cent. description of the latter days).
Though Jesus told us "But of that day and that hour knoweth no man", He also gave us signs, indicating that we must use discernment in the events of history, and cautions us: "And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch".

The Coming Great Chastisement!

_Catholic Prophecy: The Coming Chastisement_ by Yves Dupont consists of a series of prophecies from various Roman Catholic saints, thinkers, and popes from throughout the centuries regarding the state of the world and the church. These prophecies emphasize among other things a falling away from the faith, various natural disasters, the rise of a great monarch, the restoration of the Roman emperor, the rise of a great pope, a coming chastisement (possibly involving a comet passing by the earth), and various political events including predictions of both world wars (and a possible Third World War). The first section of this book deals entirely with excerpts from the writings of different Roman Catholic saints, seers, prophets, and popes which reveal these events coming to pass. The author then comments on each of these writings, providing interesting interpretations (involving for example the spread of communism, the Russian empire, the rise of Mohammedism, the return of the Jews to Israel, and various political events and wars including the Reformation, the Age of Enlightenment, the French Revolution, the First and Second World War, and even modern day conflicts such as the Vietnam War). The next section of this book details the passage of a comet, which will come as a form of chastisement and involve many natural disasters upon the earth. The third section of this book deals with the "End of the World". It is written that "no one knows of the day and hour, not even the angels of heaven, but the Father only" (Matthew 24.36); however, we are told that certain signs must occur before the end is to come. The author shows how some of these signs such as the preaching of the Gospel to all nations of the earth and the subsequent falling away from the faith may already be upon us; however, he interprets this in terms of two separate stages within the Latter-Days period. In addition, this means that the reign of Antichrist must come soon. The fourth section of this book deals with the prophecies of the Roman Catholic seer Michel de Nostradamus. Nostradamus has been much maligned due to his association with various cranks and sensationalist individuals. However, the author shows that many of his prophecies hold much interest for the Roman Catholic believer. The author distinguishes between public revelation (such as that revealed to us in the Holy Scriptures) and private revelation (which is not necessarily an article of faith) such as that revealed by the saints and prophets. Particularly of interest are the apparitions of the Virgin Mary, particularly at Fatima, where various secrets were revealed about the state of the church as well as Russian communism. An especially important prophetess is that of the Augustinian nun Anne Catherine Emmerich, whose visions have provided much of interest for the Roman Catholic believer. The final section of this book concludes with a discussion of the current crisis within the church as revealed by the saints and prophets. Various events which occurred at the Second Vatican Council have lead to a falling away from the faith by the priests, a turn towards immorality, and a degradation of the mass through various reforms (including a loss of the original Latin as preserved in the Tridentine mass). In addition, Rome itself may be under a most diabolical spell, given the refusal or inability of the post-conciliar popes to rectify this situation. The author remains uncertain regarding these matters. This book provides a good introduction to Roman Catholic prophecy, the various saints, seers, prophets, and popes which have made declarations regarding worldly affairs and the state of the church throughout the ages.

More relevant than ever!

Some might be put off by the idea of a book and Catholic Prophecy that has undergone no change in the last 30 years since it was first published by TAN Books.
However, when you open up the book and find on page 1 it states that "The Mohammedans invade Europe and commit innumerable atrocities", and that a multi-sided war is in the making, you get the feeling that the book was not written with pre-conceived notions generated by the "Cold War" or the "conflict" in Vietnam.
While not by itself authoritative, this book is almost certainly the best introduction one could use on the topic. I first read the book in eighth grade and used it extensively in a report for my fallen-away Catholic teacher (much to her chagrin).
Balanced, and well-written, but not high-brow. This is a great read.

A Masterpiece

If you plan on working in combustion, this is the book!
Well written, clear and enlightening.
Prof. Williams' presentation of the subject is outstanding and flawless. I suggest to start from the appendix on Kinetic theory, reading Physical Gadynamics by Vincenti & Kruger is strongly recommended.
I would not recommend it to beginners, start with the book by Kuo instead.

The audience is surgeons and residents. The authors are some of the best in the field. The book is comprehensive with step-by-step instructions on how to complete a procedure. It is easily divided into subsections that reflect the subspecialization in the field. Reproductive endocrinology and infertility, oncology, and obstetrics all have ample discussions of problems and surgical techniques for treatment. The obstetrics section covers the physiological differences between the pregnant and nonpregnant state and appropriately identifies the surgical challenges. There is a nice inclusion of evidence-based medicine with frequent references to current literature. The authors use cartoon images instead of real-life pictures and the impact is striking. It allows for easier comprehension of the surgical procedure. This was a core textbook during my training, and this edition adds to its legacy. Comprehensive with excellent images, it is a must-have for any surgeon in gynecology.

I can't find the videos of this book

The book is very good BUT i can't find the videos while in the presentation of this book we find (Access high-quality video demonstrations online and see exactly how to perform selected vaginal surgeries)
I downloaded the inkling ebook and alwys i can't find these videos !!

I was told by the editors that the videos for that book were changed and are not coming out. There is another book that is similar to that one that has the videos. It's called: Te Linde's Atlas of Gynecologic Surgery
Is this legal?!!!!

This book was the biggest help to my retroactive jealousy problems.

This book described me and my experiences perfectly, what I felt, how I thought, how my mind worked, everything. It was such a big help to read this book, and I look forward to what the future has in store for me. I only wish I had found this book sooner. I still have work to do, but I like that. I like that this book encourages my mind to work on getting better, if you will. As I've learned from reading this, the mind does enjoy a challenge. The exercises in this book are great for that. So in that regard I really like that this book leaves me with the keys to continue progressing toward a happier me, that I used to be.
I would recommend this book to, well, probably everyone. Dealing with this problem, never had this problem, married, single, cats or dogs? The reason I say that is reading this book will benefit you in some way. Weather your like me and you needed help like this for a couple months now, or your worried the past talk might pop up unexpectedly and you want to prepare yourself. This book is going to help you. Obviously by reading the title we all know who this book targets, people like me, who have a problem and need help. But I view this book to be a healthy decision, a cleanse if you will, for anyone.
I gave this book 5 stars for a number of reasons.
1. I am exactly the person who needed to read this, and it sure was helpful.
2. It was extremely well written, by that I mean it wasn't boring, it wasn't too short, it covered all the bases but it wasn't too long either, and it didn't run on like this sentence.
3. The author implemented the right amount of humor too, witch caught my attention and made the book easier to read.
4. The author wrote this with his own personal experience of retroactive jealousy in mind. That was a huge help to hear about someone else out there just like me. And not to mention inspiring that you can In fact get better from this.
5. This book leaves you with the right tools to fix the issue. This book doesn't just end, it doesn't just stop. It recommends you try a couple different things after the book. Homework if you will. I personally like that, because not only did I take from the book a great message and new knowledge of myself, I also get to take from this book how to continue to better myself. How to continue to make progress in my relationship.

If your hung up on your partners past, it's causing you problems, hard to take, mixed thoughts or emotions, your not quite yourself, buy this book. Do not wait. The quicker you read this book the better you AND your partner will be. Take my word for it.

Radical Right Critique of Contemporary Culture

Julius Evola wrote this book (in the 1950's) for people like himself (although younger and less experienced): marginalized radical-right intellectuals (with a strong spiritual bent) trying to maintain their dignity in a world where they exert little to no influence over their contemporaries, which he refers to throughout the book as the "differentiated" and "integrated" type of man--the "aristocrats of the soul" referred to in the subtitle. Topics of his critique range from (to name a few) nihilism, youth sub-cultures, existentialism, science, the arts, sexuality, and death. Evola's basic premise is that Western civilization is disintegrating and beyond the point of saving (or being worth saving), and so it is the task of the individual who is disgusted by his surroundings to make the best of the situation by "riding the tiger"--a non-resisting controlled indulgence--for the time being, and yet not falling prey to the delusions offered by the surrounding world.

Ride the Tiger, For the "Differentiated" Individual

This book is not for everyone. If you're looking for a casual read to pass the time or to "entertain" you, don't even bother. This book is for the individual seeking direction from above. For a higher source of beauty away from the emptiness and constant fluctuations of the modern world.
The main focus of the book is on the "differentiated" individual and how this "model type/traditional individual" should go about living day to day in an empty and mad world. It is somewhat of a guide to seeing things objectively day to day and taking meaning from everything the modern world has to offer without having it taint your inner spirit, or your inner traditional calling.
I recommend this to anyone who feels like an outsider or stranger in their contemporary society, who constantly struggles to find beauty in places where none no longer look, the world of tradition.

Riding the Tiger - Aristocratic Tradition Against Modernity.

_Ride the Tiger: A Survival Manual for the Aristocrats of the Soul_ by Italian counter-revolutionary theorist Baron Julius Evola is a manual for a certain spiritual type of man - the man of Tradition - faced with the nihilistic reality of the modern world. Tradition is characterized by a recognition of transcendence and hierarchy as opposed to the mass levelling which has taken place in modernity - at root in nihilism. Evola, a gloomy figure on the marginalized radical right in postwar Italy, writes of the modern world as witnessing a new dark age, the Kali Yuga of Indian tradition (as noted by the father of Traditionalism, Rene Guenon). In the philosophy of Traditionalism, the world is said to have fallen from a past Golden Age (as witnessed to by the ancient Greeks, Hesiod, and the Hindus) and approaching the end of a cycle has entered the Kali Yuga, an era characterized by dissolution. Kali is a dark goddess of sexuality and orgiastic rites in Hindu mythology - said to be asleep in previous eras but in the Kali Yuga said to be wide awake. The modern age is characterized by the "death of God" (the end of the transcendent), the beginning of European nihilism as explained by Nietzsche. In such a world, the spiritual type Evola writes for is totally alienated. Topics covered in this book include Nietzsche's philosophy and the world in which "God is dead", the "lost youth" and the postwar generation of Beatniks, the dead end of existentialist philosophies, Heideggerianism and Husserlian phenomenologies, the new physics and scientism, moral decline, an excursus on drugs, the failure of modern art, sexuality and marriage, the "new religiosity, and death. Evola finds little to recommend for his ideal type except for a sort of neo-Gnostic complete withdrawal from the modern world characterized by what he terms "apolitea". In terms of Tradition, little remains left to recognize and hierarchy has been completely abolished. This form of apolitea may be described as "riding the tiger", a Far Eastern saying meaning that if one succeeds in riding a tiger not only does one avoid having to leap on one, but one may eventually get the better of it. This is Evola's only recommendation for coming to terms with modernity and making one's way across the Kali Yuga that completes the traditional cycle. As in his previous book _Revolt Against the Modern World_, Evola offers many profound insights into both the nature of modernity and the means for achieving counter-revolution giving the prevailing winds of the time.
